Should I favour targeted keywords with lower search volume over broader keywords?
I am a bit confused as the first module states in the keywords always be precise with location, to get the interested people for your area – so write holiday house brisbane. But with the Bribsane added , no clicks in the estimator tool but still local searches but must be <1%.
Is it better to include brisbane and have hardly any chance of a click through or don't include brisbane and have clicks but problably not for peolpe looking for brisbane holiday houses?
Hi Anita, Good question. Using broad keywords such as “holiday house” compared to “holiday house brisbane” will be a fast way to increase your AdWord spend without achieving the desired bookings or a ROI. General terms typically cost more and you’re likely to lose your shirt in the process.
You will build a more profitable campaign by focusing on finding many targeted “long tail keywords” albeit with lower search volume that also have a lower cost per click (CPC) as opposed to less broad matched keywords with higher search volumes.
